WCF or Windows Communication Foundation is a service-oriented framework for the applications. Data can be sent in the form of asynchronous messages from one service endpoint to another through the implementation of WCF. Modern standards in the industry are employed in WCF for the interoperability of the web service. Service Metadata is published in WCF by using formats like XML schema, WSDL, and WS policy. This metadata automatically configures and generates clients for accessing the services of WCF.
Since WCF is built via the .NET framework, it also contains the methods for providing the contracts the user wants to enforce.
