Gradle is an open-source flexible tool used for building automation and is designed to create any type of software. Gradle runs only the tasks that are necessary to run. A build cache can also be used to allow the reuse of tasks from the previous runs or a different source. Innumerable optimizations are employed in the Gradle and run on JVM. But JDK (Java Development Kit) must be installed before running it. However, standard APIs of the Java language such as plugins and custom task types make it easy to operate in different types of platforms.
