Why it is more difficult to stop a cricket ball than a tennis ball moving with same velocity ?

Because the mass of the cricket ball is much more than the tennis ball , thus the momentum which is equal to the product of mass and velocity[p=mv ] provided by the cricket ball is much more in comparison to the tennis ball.
